This repository contains the analysis code used to derive the results presented in Régibeau-Rockett et al. (in review): "Investigating the Relationship Between Sea Surface Temperature and the Mechanical Efficiency of Tropical Cyclones". The code descriptions are as follows: - get_input_sounding_data.py can be used to derive the vertical profiles of potential temperature, water vapor mixing ratio, and x- and y- wind speed from our RCE simulations. - get_input_sounding_PI.py and get_input_sounding_tropopause.py are designed to obtain the values of the potential intensity, potential-intensity derived kinetic energy, and the tropopause height and temperature in the same RCE simulations - Find_Vmax_RMW.py obtains a timeseries of the maximu...
